Nova Envirocom was founded in 1995 by one of the most active environmentalists in Quebec, Pierre Morency. Nova Envirocom is number ONE in Quebec in home composting programs (between 120 and 150 programs per year).
Nova Envirocom is also one of the sole distributors of biodegradable dishware in Quebec and soon-to-be a manufacturer of these products. In terms of compostable bags, Nova Envirocom has a 40% market share in the sector of certified biodegradable and compostable bags. Over 1000 municipalities, businesses and public agencies in Quebec are currently serviced by Nova Envirocom, through various products and services.
The array of products offered by Nova Envirocom is comprised of bins, urban recycling products, compostable dishware, aerators and compostable bags. All of these products are distributed, and at times also designed and manufactured by Nova Envirocom, through partnerships with various manufacturers in Sherbrooke as well as in Venice, Italy.
Nova Envirocom is actively present at various exhibitions and forums on the environment around the world in order to identify the most recent and effective discoveries and implement them here at home.
The true essence of Nova Envirocom is to promote sound management of residual wastes in a sustainable development perspective. When creating the company, Pierre Morency had at heart of becoming a model in reconciling economic and social development together with environmental protection. Nova Envirocom has been a frontrunner in sustainable development, particularly with the publication of the composting guide "Le compostage facilité".
Nova Envirocom actively participates in civic awareness through conferences and financially supports several initiatives aimed at the integration of principles of sustainable development and collective responsibility. Through all of these actions, Nova Envirocom is a leading partner in Quebec’s quest to reach its goal: the recovery and recycling, by 2008, of over 65% of waste residues. Nova Envirocom is working in partnership with Recyc-Quebec to promote recycling and composting in a perspective of conservation of resources. |
